Electronic can-football

Jul 31 2022 Published by under Uncategorized

I suggest an electronics sport with electronic players, a ball, two goals and rules somewhat like football rules.

Say you have a ping pong sized play ground, with borders. The players are round can sized robots.
In the first iteration of this idea the players can be remote controlled. In the more advanced iterations they can be self controlled, with or without a hive mind, robots.

This sport can be awfully fun to both play and watch. With 4 players in each team, or more players for a bigger playgound, it will allow for agility, cunning, strategy and precision. The speed should have a maximum, albeit the goal keepers can have their own maximum speed.

The speed(s) and sizes of the goals and play grounds should be iterated forth. One could also consider assymetrical cans to allow for more ball tricks.

Painting by numbers and jigsaw puzzle in one

Why not mix painting by numbers and jigsaw puzzles?

One can either choose to paint each piece by itself or puzzle it all together and paint it afterwards.

Game idea: a zombie game with frightening zombies

Apr 29 2014 Published by under Uncategorized

When I think of computer zombie games it is usually a mêlée and splatter. But zombies can be frightening. There is a Romero remake where the zombies run instead of walk like tired Monday morning; suddenly there is a reason to be afraid.

So why not create a game where the zombies are dangerous? Where being close to them is not only risky but really dangerous and frightening? Let the player have tasks that involves sneaking up on Zs and grab a tissue sample or stay close to them and observe their natural behaviour. If the player is spotted the best defense is to run; this could make up some nice le parkour play. In simple cases or when panicked a blunt instrument could be handy but also risky. Keep a sniper nearby. Well… not too nearby since you don’t want him to be fragged (or whatever it is called when a npc Z catches your team mate).

Game for people with different tastes

Jan 19 2011 Published by under Uncategorized

A computer game where both running-around-and-shooting and moving-body-to-a-rythm counts.   Let two people play in team where one moves and one shoots.  It makes couple with different tastes of game able to play together.

What it should look like and behave is not something I have figured out yet.
But hey, capoeira is something like it, and with wii and kinect we should be able to make something up.  Dance electric boogie and send godly laser beams against your enemy.  Dance battles in hip hop style.
